Allow direct playing of custom levels in the menu
Playing custom levels through the editor seems overly involved for those simply wanting to play more levels. It would be a boon to the custom community if a player could log in and then search for, find, and play a custom level without manually downloading a PNG file and then loading the level through the level editor. PNG files are small enough that downloading and loading the files on-demand also seems feasible.

Add support for Widescreen
If it's possible, there should be widescreen options for those with, well, wide screens. So, 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, etc.

Enhance the level editor
It desperately needs an 'auto-shape' feature, snap to grid, undo and the ability to erase parts of an (already drawn) object and redraw them.

Undo is already implemented it’s CTRL + Z. Redrawing / decoration can be done if you press down SHIFT and draw (right mouse button erases).
Things planned to be included: 90 degree drawing.

User made episodes
An option for CFD players to link their levels to each other, creating a continuous episode. I don't see the island view important to add for players, but user made episodes is definitely really important.
An efficient ingame menu for browsing custom levels would be nice too :)

Allow us to search by tags/description/name/author/etc
It would allow us to find things no longer on the 'newest' page

Enhanced finishing stars
Enhanced finishing stars would include these possibilities.
1 - The "normal" stars. The way they are now.
2 - The "moving" stars. Finishing stars could be drawn an own track what to follow. In the game they would go around this path with whatever speed you assign it (with speed limits of course:).
3 - The "physical" stars. These stars would be affected with the game physics like everything else. Could be knocked with a club, would bounce in a string, would fall outside of the screen. Then it would reappear where it was created.Wouldn't this be just awesome:)

Group level packs
It would be wonderful if users could package their custom levels into a single download.

Allow saving mid-level
Really needs to be able to save state in the level to allow building and refining more complicated solutions.

Different colours = different shape properties
For example, a blue square might be rigid, a green one might be springy, a red one squashy. Orange might be slippery.
Would make for a lot more playing possibilities...

UI: constrained drawing (straight lines, circles) within game
Some possibilities:
- Modifier key that would draw straight rectangles given two sides (like the demo)
- Modifier that would constrain line-drawing to horizontal or vertical
- Modifier that would draw a perfect circle from a line drawn between starting point (center) and point on peremiter (radius)
- Feature to draw a straight line (with arbitrary slope, not necessarily horizontal or vertical) between two endpoints18 votes -

Put I link to the iPhone version of the game.
Next to Home, About, Blog, ext... put I link to the iPhone app. This will make it sell better and be more popular.

don't automatically quit level
The author says "coming up with creative solutions is what the game is really about" but as soon as one way to solve the level is found, the game ends the level and all work is lost.
Instead the game should only advance the level when you decide the user is done with the level. So you can be creative and keep exploring ways to solve the levels without automatically advancing9 votes -
Prevent the ball from immediately recovering from offscreen.
There have been a couple of instances where I've had a ball tethered to a rope swing offscreen then respawn, with the carriage assembly still intact. It would be nice if we could let the ball pass offscreen temporarily if it's in a controlled fashion.

Pinball type actions
Old style pinball machines have rubber bumbers, flippers, moving targets, rotating hammers, etc. So, why not provide some of those functions in Crayon Physics?

Make hovered drawing stand out or glow
This is because sometimes when trying to delete a tiny pin, it deletes the rope its attached to instead. This can be very frustrating after an intricately drawn solution.
It needs to be made apparent what is about to be deleted.
